WalMart has Changed

Hi, to all of you and I'm very sorry for all of you that has lost your job, as I recently lost my job because of a D-Day earlier in the year, for trumped-up charges that I used my Discount Card on the clock, but infact I didn't and told the Assistant Manager when he ask me, but he wouldn't believe me and wouldn't show me the tape when I called him on it.  So, for the first time in 6 1/2 years I've run the register, it comes up short along with a lot of others, run by others on the same night and I get ousted out.  It's all about cut workers down to have more money and that is a shame.  This same Assistant has had it in for me since my son and him got into it last year; because he brought back items so he could get something else he wanted.  I also was told by anther Assistant Manager that he lied to me, he didn't have nothing but the register tape and all it showed was my name using the card more than three times in one day.  My husband had came in the store that day and I let him use it because he had left his home.  That shows you how narrow and accusing some of them can be and how they let their jobs and positions go to their heads.  I was told it was nothing personal , because a lot of registers came up short that night; I just had that bogus D-Day.  I'm not mad but very hurt over how I was done.  You that are still there be careful and watch your backs.  Keep your mouths shut and your eyes and ears open; you could be next.  If you remember what you read and all of those forms you filled out, you will realize they don't need a reason to let you go.  Now, I was there for 6 1/2 years and the insurance is not better than anywhere else; it use to be.  I was paying nearly a $100 every paycheck; just for myself, but the Dental is really good.  Have you ever looked at the Co-Pays or the Deductibles you have to pay.  We never made that kind of money to be able to get sick.  The ones of you talking so highly about all of it better read your information again.  All the WalMarts are getting the same way and if your store isn't, your very lucky and must have a real nice manager and I'm very happy for you.  I'm so glad I decided to go back to college and get my Human Resource Management Degree.  A lot of people aren't that lucky.  I miss my friends and co-workers and some of the Assistant Managers as well as my customers but there is a reason for everything.  I feel for you associates that think it's still a great place to work.  You are either living in a dream world or you are management's pet, or you haven't worked there long enough to see the change.  Yes, when WalMart came in they gave a lot of people jobs but they also closed a lot of small business's down; because they didn't want to share.  Sam Walton wasn't that kind of man and I'm sure he has flipped in his grave a bunch of times; not turned.  A lot of you may be the company's kind of worker but you would never have made it with Sam Walton!  As for the person wanting to know about their stock you can call Computershare at 1-800-438-6278 soon as possible and get what's your.  They will not let anyone participate after February 2011.  Also on your 401K call Merrill Lynch at 1-888-968-4015 and they will be able to help you.  You will need all of your information handy.  Oh, by the way, I was told I could come back in 60 days; of course that would be part-time; no benefits for 2 years.  Now, do you see what I'm saying?  They are trying to get rid of all the full-time and just have part-time (that was in one of home offices letters on line in 2007) so they don't have to pay benefits, so be very careful you could be next!

PS.  I was told by the head CSM last week to work off the clock, no, let me refraize that, I "had" to work off the clock until I could get back on, putting up returns for the departments.  I was told later she could have got me clocked back in, because the grocery side clock was messed-up.  I don't know why she didn't, figure that.

WalMart use to be cheaper but really, not now.  Their big can of  Folger's Coffee was $12.58 last week and Dollar General's was $6.00

I was told it wasn't nothing personal by the store manager and co-manager.

"God Bless All of You" that are still there and stay tough because it's going to get tougher.

Also BC/BS in Alabama is cheaper than what WalMarts is right now.
